CUNNINGHAM, Walter Allan, of Lexington, South Carolina, Formerly of Flint, age 80, died Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2026 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Tim Pike officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Mr. Cunningham will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where friends may call 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and 10:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Walter was born August 29, 1946 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Allan Lee and Leoma (Hayes) Cunningham. He leaves behind: children, Michael (Leslie) Watson of Tecumseh, David (Judi) Watson of Flint, Laurie (Garry) Stephan of Norfolk, Virginia, Walter A. “Bud” Cunningham II of Flint, and Christopher (Tammie) Cunningham of Lexington, South Carolina; grandchildren, Matthew (Blair), Dustin, C.J., Daniel (Bentley), Hannah (Shavonne), Savanah, Jonah, Keagan, Will, and Rhys; and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife George-Anne, son, James Watson, and grandsons, Will, and Daniel.
