Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia Rhyne, known as Mickey Rhyne, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Virginia departed this world on August 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on December 29, 1929, in Flint, Michigan, Virginia was the beloved daughter of Pauline and Emil Bles.

Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Rhyne, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of life and love. Together, they raised their two children, Michael (Sandy) Rhyne and Laurene Rhyne, in Flint Township. Virginia was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family and supporting her husband's endeavors.

Her family was the center of her world, and she embraced her role as a mother and grandmother with grace and warmth. Her grandchildren, Rachel (Ryan) Flemings and Michelle (Alex) Rhyne, were the light of her life, and her three great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy and pride. Virginia's loving and accepting nature left an indelible mark on those who knew her, and her kindness touched the lives of many.

Virginia was an active member of St. Pius Catholic Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community. Her vibrant spirit shone brightly as she participated in several Red Hat organizations and enjoyed dancing, exercising, and playing cards at various senior centers. These activities brought her great joy and allowed her to form lasting friendships.

A celebration of Virginia's life will be held on August 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Queen of Angels, located at 4413 Morish Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the life of this extraordinary woman who touched so many hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in remembrance of Virginia's generous spirit and her commitment to helping others.

Virginia Rhyne will be remembered as a beacon of love and kindness, whose legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.
