Burnett, Tilman Vernon "Smiley," of Lennon, age 82, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 at McLaren Flint.  Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev. John Grantham officiating.  Burial in Flint Memorial Park.  Mr. Burnett will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy, Flint Township, where friends may visit 2-8 PM Tuesday and 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday.  Tilman was born March 21, 1936 in FLint, the son of Elmer and Katie (Hoover) Burnett.  Smiley owned and operated Flint City Towing and Flint CIty Auto Parts for many years and retired from Applegate Chevrolet Co.  Surviving are:  wife, Linda Burnett;  son, Wade Burnett; 2 daughters, Susan (and husband Courtney) Thiel and Diane Bennett; grandchildren, Nikki, Brandon, Anthony, Derryl, Trisha, Darby, Austin, and Brooklynn;  great grandchildren, Niya, Abel, and Seraphim;  siblings:  Darwon and wife Yvonne, Bernice, John and wife Carrie, and Linda and husband Jerry; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Walter E. Burnett.
