SMITH, Thelma Eileen, of Flint, age 79, died Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at McLaren Flint.  Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, June 14, 2019, at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.  Burial in Flint Memorial Park.  Mrs. Smith will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may visit 5-8 PM Thursday.  Thelma was born in Flint, March 21, 1940.  She loved to be with her grandchildren.  She collected frogs and lighthouses.  Thelma loved her dog Skippy who was her faithful companion.  Surviving are:  daughter, Karen and husband Jerry Tambling; daughter, Regina and husband Kip Pylinski; son, John and wife Sheryl Proffitt; brother, Charles; sister, Sheila and husband Gordon; grandchildren, Ashley and husband Eric, Jessica and husband Alex, Hayley, Aaron, Preston, and Misty; 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, grandson Christopher, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
