LANE, Susan Cherry, of Flint Township, age 71, died Saturday, May 18, 2024 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.  Cremation will follow.  Mrs. Lane will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where family will receive friends Noon – 8:00 PM Thursday and 10:00 AM until the time of service Friday.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Susan was born in Flint, September 8, 1952, the daughter of William and Ellen (Dingman) Latchaw.  She married Allen Lane, Sr. July 2, 1970.  She retired from Meijer Inc.  Susan was a loving wife, mother, nana, and gigi.  She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed camping, crocheting, and reading.

Surviving are:  husband, Al Lane; daughters, Tanya (Ryan) Yost, and Kim (Kevin) Field; son, Allen Lane, Jr.; grandkids, Megan (Malik), Landen, Elexia, and Michael; great grandkids, Oliver, Piper, and Marshall; brothers, Lonnie, Gary, Bill, and John Latchaw.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Tom, Larry, Bob, and Walter, and loving grandson Tyler Field.
