Obituary

JOHNSON, Scott Allen, of Flint Township, age 60, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at his residence.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Shane Heddy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township.

Scott was born in Flint, May 1, 1964, the son of Jerry Thomas  and Jane Rappley Johnson.  In his younger years he enjoyed building and racing cars.  He built the beloved "Big Johnson Bike" and a 1979 Malibu from the ground up.  He liked fishing and hunting and was an amazing shot.  In recent years all that mattered to him was his family (and his poker).  Scott was a jokester who could always make you laugh.  He was a "protector" who would give you the shirt off his back.

Scott worked alongside his brother, Jerry, at Glenwood Cemetery before becoming a pipefitter.  He was a member of Local 370 for 23 years before retiring from William E. Walter, Inc. in 2024.

Scott leaves behind to cherish his memory:  wife, Veronica Johnson; children, Jordan (Chelsea) Johnson, Rachel (Cristian Woodall) Johnson, Gage (Ashlee) Campbell, Hunter Campbell, and Logan Campbell; grandchildren, Evelynn, Charlotte, and Phoenix; sisters, Sheila (Buck) Sweatland, Tonya (Craig) Smeby, Randee (Sam) Pepitone, and Lisa Claspell Sanders; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Thomas "Dooley" Johnson, his mother, Jane Sue Rappley, stepfather, Harold Rappley, brothers, Jerry Johnson and Kevin Johnson, and his beloved uncle, Kenith "Red" Johnson.

Scott will be loved and missed by all forever and always.
