GROESSER, Ruth Ann, of Flint, age 81, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Regency of Grand Blanc.  Cremation has taken place.  A private memorial will take place later.  Ruth was the youngest daughter of six children born to Earl and Gertrude Smith. She married Gary Groesser of Traverse City in 1954, and together had four children. Mom was the queen of soup preparation and enjoyed visits from her family to share in these tasty treasures. While Mom valued healthy eating, her love for sweets may have far exceeded her love for all else. Throughout the years Mom opened her home to many dogs and cats, providing the care and comfort that even kings and queens would envy. Mom loved her family and had the gift of wit, even on some of her toughest days. Her faith reached the heavens; while ill, her greatest comfort was talk of the life that God has in store for His faithful.   Mom leaves behind four children: Steve Groesser of Flint, Cindy King of Mt. Morris, Scott (Lyn) Groesser of Flushing and Jeff (Michelle) Groesser of Swartz Creek; grandchildren: Angela Brabon, Michael Groesser, Sheena (Chad) Carter, Crystal (Mike) Gehring, Theresa (Austin) Niemiec, Stephen (Carly) Groesser, Stephanie, Carolyn, Catrina, Lucy and Jeffrey Groesser; many cherished great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by siblings Maradean Fischer, Evelyn Swogger, "DJ" Smith, Betty Groesser, and Harold Smith.  A special heartfelt Thank You to nurses and doctors at Genesys and Regency of Grand Blanc for providing comfort and care to Mom in her final days.
