BIGELOW, Ross Waine, of Flint Township, age 80, passed away peacefully June 14, 2025, just five days shy of his 81st birthday. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at North Flushing Baptist Church, 7500 West Mount Morris Road, Flushing, Rev. Donald Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Mr. Bigelow will lie in state at the church where family will receive friends in celebration of his life, 11:30 A.M. until the time of services Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to the Missions Department at North Flushing Baptist Church.
Ross was born in Flint, June 19, 1944. He retired from Mott Community College after 30 years of service.
A devoted man of faith, Ross was known for his lifelong commitment to spiritual education, having taught Sunday School for over 50 years as well as being a faithful soul winner. He was a dedicated member of both Great Lakes Baptist Temple and North Flushing Baptist Church where he touched countless lives through his ministry and love for Scripture.
Ross's passion for classic Cushman scooters led him to active membership in the Cushman Motor Club, where he formed lasting friendships and shared many fond memories. He was especially proud of the time spent with his grandchildren, enjoying puzzles, games, and joyful moments that will be treasured forever.
Ross leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, kindness, and love. His impact will live on through his family and all those blessed to know him.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Rhonda Kennedy Bigelow; daughters, Tamara (Jim) Nelson, Tracy (Donald) Culbertson, Marsha (Dennis) Gould, Rachel (Andres) Torres, and Rebecca Alick; sons, Dan (Diane) Bigelow, and Randy (Tiffany) Bigelow; 22 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents, Waine Bigelow, and Mildred (Bard) Bigelow Cherry, siblings, Dean Bigelow, and Janice Bigelow Johnston.
