RESTER, Roger Lee, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Davison, age 79, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc. Roger will be laid to rest with his wife, Mirella, at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint Township, at a time to be announced.  Roger was born in Flint, May 17, 1943.  He was a graduate of Flint Central High School and a member of UAW Local 659 at GM and a Lead Official for Retirees.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed being out on the golf course with his buddies and just enjoying his life to the fullest.  The things that his children learned from him the most are to be positive and that there is always something to be thankful for in every situation.  Surviving are: son, Stacy L. Rester; daughters, Tamara E. (Gil) Brown, and Ramona J. Rester; two granddaughters, Lily (Tamara's daughter) and Mikayla (Ramona's daughter); sister, Stephanie (Phil) Osmondson; brother, Frank (LaDonna) Rester; ex-wife and mother of his children, Elaine Urban.   Roger is preceded in death by his wife Mirella, mother Mabel Elaine Rester, and father Frank Van Rester.  The family wishes to thank the staff Wellbridge Nursing Home of Grand Blanc for taking such good care of our Dad, especially, his nurse Terry Lynn.
