Robert Jerry Castle, age 90, of Hickory N.C., formerly of Flint, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Fairview Presbyterian Church, 111 Fairview Dr NW, Lenoir, North Carolina, Pastor Leah Epps officiating. Robert was born December 11, 1931, the son of the late Raymond Patrick and Luetta Elam Castle. Robert served during World War II in the United States Marine Corps. Surviving are:  his wife, Sandy; children, Patrick C Castle of Hickory, Christine Castle Helton of Lenoir, Jammie Castle McCann of Delaware, Reva Franks of Durand, and LeisaSmith, Craig Castle, Rick Castle, all of Lennon; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Joyce Coffey of South Carolina, Clara Booher and husband Gordon of Charlotte, Virginia Moore and husband Jimmy of Myrtle Beach, SC.  He is preceded in death by his parents, son Jerry Coleman Castle, sister Janet Barnes, and brother Raymond Patrick Castle, Jr.
