GIFFORD, Richard Duane (Rich), of Flint Township, age 75, died Thursday, May 5, 2022 at his residence.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home.  Final interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery.  Rich will remain at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where family will receive friends 10 AM - 1 PM Friday, May 13, 2022.

Rich was born in Flint, July 18, 1946, the son of Otis and Josephine Gifford.  He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany.  He retired from Buick Motor Division where he worked as a mechanic.  Rich was an active member of Michigan Cruisers. He was very quick witted and was a friend to all who knew him.

Surviving are:  daughter, Tracy Lynn (Jon) Klosterman; stepchildren, Loretta, Ronnie, and Joann Delbridge; grandchildren, Randall, Cheyenne, and Savannah; stepgrandchildren, Trevor, Patrick, and Kaylee;

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Laura LaClair and Mary (Willard) Long, his son Anthony Charles Gifford, and his wife Linda (Delbridge) Gifford.
