PEREZ, Michael Dennis, of Flint Township, age 65, died Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at McLaren Flint.  Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, 2439 South Long Lake Road, Fenton, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Bilas officiating.  Burial at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.  Dennis will lie in state at St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church where friends may visit 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Wednesday.  A Parastos service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Mr. Perez was born in Flint, Michigan, August 16, 1954. He was the first born son to Michael and G. Genevieve (Harvill) Perez. Dennis played the drums in marching band at Southwestern High school. He attended Baptist Bible Seminary in Pennsylvania for one year.  He was employed as a janitor at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, and then become a loving caregiver to his father, Michael. He was a faithful member of St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church and member of Genesys Pace of Genesee County for the last 8 months. Surviving are: mother, Gay Genevieve Parsons; step-father, Walter Edgar Parsons; brothers and sisters, Sabrina (Christopher) Kramer, Richard (Susan) Perez, Timothy Perez, Thomas Perez, and Dara Perez; 8 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews; 1 great- great nephew; close Friends, Deacon Mike Bassett, and Randy Zimmerman.  He was preceded in death by his father Michael Perez, and grandparents Homer and Eula Harvill.  The family wishes to extend special thanks to Steve at Genesys Pace of Genesee County.
