COBB, Michael Scott, of Flushing, age 61, died Thursday, December 8, 2022.  A memorial gathering will be held 3:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, December 12, 2022 at Goggins Hall, 309 E. Main St., Flushing.  Michael was born in Flint, December 2, 1961, the son of Ernest and Ruth (Alger) Cobb.  He spent his entire life working in local businesses. He was a familiar site in Flushing on his bicycle, regardless of the weather. Michael did not ask to be born handicapped but with his determination chose to live independently.  Though he did not fulfill his dream of driving a car, he gained independence on his bicycle.  In spite of the challenges he faced in his life, his tenacity in reaching out to the local community for support was accepted by many.    Michael taught tolerance, and Flushing is a better place because of him.  The family members left here are:  Karen Gebhardt, and Michele and Ken Blair, Jason Griesa, Mandy and Corey Blair, Aubrey, Marty, Silas, and Samuel Rodrigues, Aunts, Betty Morgan, Chuck and Carol Elliott , Mary Dorn, Dan and  Margaret King.  Many first cousins.
