HILL, Mary M., of Flint, age 89, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Keith McKinnies officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Mrs. Hill will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may visit 3-8 PM Thursday. Mary was born in Flint, December 17, 1926, the daughter of Joseph and Dorthy (Hervey) Martz. She attended Flint Central High School. She married Alvin Elder at the age of 16 (1942), he preceded her in death in 1964. She married Silas Hill in 1969. He preceded her in death in 1993. Surviving are: 2 sons, Edward J. (Sue) Elder and Jerry W. (Patricia) Elder, both of Flint; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, and.several great great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathleen Martinez, and son Alvin D. Elder.
