SWITZER, Martha Claire, of Flint, age 76, died suddenly, Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. Martha was born June 7, 1943, the daughter of Robert Russell and Marion Ruth (Sherman) Switzer. She was a graduate of Flint Community Schools and Eastern Michigan University. Martha enjoyed reading fiction, liked cats, and had strong opinions about politics. She lived with mental health challenges. Martha is survived by her sister, Nancy Switzer of Flint; sister-in-law, Sandy Switzer of La Crescenta, California; nieces, Emily, Katherine, and Elizabeth. Thanks are due her caregivers at Kith Haven and Hurley Medical Center, as well as to her caring neighbors at Kearsley Manor Apartments.
