Lloyd-Stander , Marilyn Blanche, nee Boldt, of Dearborn, age 97, died Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Provision Assisted Living at West Bloomfield.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, 16 Lakeshore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, Pastor Jeff Lincicome officiating.  Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Grand Lawn Cemetery, 23501 Grand River Avenue, Detroit, Rev. Dr. Mary Lloyd officiating.  Marilyn will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where friends may visit 10:00 A.M.- 8:00 P.M. Monday and Tuesday.  A family service will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marilyn was born July 18, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, the oldest of two children of Carl and Blanche (Wood) Boldt.  She was raised in Detroit, graduating from David MacKenzie High School in 1945.  She married Arlington Lloyd August 4 of that same year.  Together they raised 4 children, Larry Robert Lloyd, Dennis Michael Lloyd, Linda Christine Lloyd (Sherman), and David Arlington Lloyd.  Arlington preceded her in death in 1977.

In Dearborn, she worked 3 years for Internist Robert Brundage, M. D., and over 40 years as a Registered Medical Assistant for Dermatologist Benjamin Mihay, M.D.  Widowed at age 50 she married fellow widower Melbourne Stander in 2001.  He preceded her in death in 2011.

She leaves behind 3 living children and their spouses, Dr. Dennis M. (Rev. Dr. Mary) Lloyd of Flushing, Linda C. (the late Michael) Sherman of Novi, and David A. (Denise) Lloyd also of Novi; daughter-in-law, Linda Sue Lloyd of Grosse Pointe; 10 grandchildren, Lawrence, Emily, Elizabeth, Laura, Sarah, Carolyn, David, Lisa, Brian, and Karina; 21 great grandchildren, Brady, Madison, Hudson, Magdalen, Anthony, Joshua, Zach, Mya, McKenna, Isabel, Lily, Andrew, Celeste, William, Lillian, Allison, Gianna, Natalie, Tristin, Andrew, and Hailey; 2 great great grandchildren, Liam, and Bennett; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Arlington Lloyd and Melbourne Stander; son, Dr. Larry Lloyd; grandson, Andrew Lloyd; and son-in-law, Michael Sherman.
