HALLENBECK, Lynda Lucille, of Mount Morris, age 62, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Maple Woods Manor.  Cremation has taken place.  Lynda was born in Flint, August 18, 1959, the daughter of Wilbur and Barbara (Mierop) Withun.  She graduated from Lapeer West High School in 1977 and married Edward Hallenbeck in 1980.  They were married 38 years until his passing in 2018.  Lynda enjoyed gardening and being called "Mom" by all her children's friends.  A smart, compassionate, independent woman, she especially enjoyed holidays, and would cook and clean for days to make each holiday magical and spectacular.  Surviving are:  daughter, Stephanie (Scott) Smith; son, Erik (Shannon) Hallenbeck; daughter-in-law, Kimberley Hallenbeck; grandchildren, Kennedy, Hayden, and Ezekiel; and brother, Steve Withun.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Hallenbeck, and son Brandon Hallenbeck.  The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at McLaren Flint Hospital and McLaren Hospice.
