EDWARDS, Lorean, of Flint, Michigan, age 91, passed away January 5, 2019.  Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., FLint Township.  Mrs. Edwards was born in Georgia, January 22, 1927.  She graduated from Tallahassee County High School in Mississippi and moved to Flint, Michigan in 1947 with her family. Lorean worked as a nursing assistant. Those skills helped her to care for her mother, Frances Edwards, in her aging years.  Lorean was a dedicated employee and a hard worker. She retired after serving over 20 years with Sears, Roebuck & Co. as a customer service and sales specialist.  Lorean enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader.  She was also a faithful and dedicated member of Canaan Baptist Church and Promise Tabernacle formerly Golden Leaf Baptist Church. While attending Promise Tabernacle she was an active member working in the food shelf ministry.  Mrs. Edwards is survived by her nieces Brenda Edwards, Maxine Koger, Charlotte Murphy, and Pat Edwards and nephew LaMarr Edwards, along with a host of great nieces, great nephews and beloved family and friends.  Lorean is preceded in death by her loving parents James Edwards Sr. (father); mother Frances Edwards (Watson); Melvin Edwards (brother); Elvin Edwards (brother); William Edwards (brother); and Fannie Mae Edwards (sister).
