KIMBALL, Lawrence Earl, of Clayton Township, age 71, died Thursday, February 3, 2022 at home. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev. Dr. Mary M. Lloyd of The Watermark Church, Flushing, officiating.  Cremation will follow. Final Interment will occur later at Bendle Cemetery.  Mr. Kimball will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where friends may visit 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday.

The world has lost a great man.  An all-American swimmer, butterflying badass, name that tune in less than two notes music lover.  A golumpki maker.  A handsome man, with a smile that made everything better.  A comedian who always had a silly dad joke.  A man who had many life-long friends that he loved and spoke of often.  A dog lover who was generous and kind to everyone.  An amazing husband, father, father-in-law, grandpa, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend, Larry was an extraordinary example of a good person who was loved, liked, and respected by everyone who knew him.

Mr. Kimball was born August 17, 1950, the son of Arline and Clifford (Kip) Kimball.  Surviving are:  wife, Marina Kimball; children, Kelley and Mike Tibbetts, Gavin Neff, and Kay and Ron Vandermeer; grandchildren, Sarah and Michael Tibbetts, and Jordon Vandermeer;  siblings, Oren Kimball, Denise Edwards, and Paul and Sue Kimball; many nieces and nephews; and step-mother, Diana Kimball.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Arline and Clifford (Kip) Kimball.
