Gere-Perry, Lavona Kay, of Genesee Township, age 54, died Sunday, February 23, 2025 at her residence.   A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 – 6:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, at the clubhouse inside Highlands Estates, 2197 E. Mt Morris Rd., Mt Morris, Michigan.

Lavona was born in Flint, August 27, 1970.   She enjoyed canning, baking, crafting, sewing, DIY projects, gardening, and gaming.  Lavona was very kind, caring, and was always there when anyone needed her.  She also had a warm personality and loved to laugh.  She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are:  husband, Thomas Gere Perry; children, Amanda (Michael) Clemons, Jorden (Liz) Owens, and Anthony Haywood-Hunt; grandchildren, Elliot, Aria, and Charlotte; brother, David Gere II; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Haywood, father, David Gere, and nephew, David Gere III.
