CASTER, Karl Scott, of Burton, age 55, beloved husband, father, son, mentor and friend, passed away at home, Saturday, October 27, 2018, after a long battle with cancer.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, Rev. Kevin Caster officiating.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service.  Karl was born April 1, 1963, in Flint, Michigan the son of  Terry W. Caster and E. Sonya Calvert. Karl was a graduate of Flint School of Choice.  He was a noted local musician and soundman who had just celebrated 16 years of sobriety as a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous.  Karl and Sally (nee Castro) were married May 23, 2004, and combined their families to form a nine strong blended family.

Karl leaves his wife Sally, daughter Heather, son Timothy, son Kevin, son Brian, son Nathanial, daughter Valerie, and son Jackson. He also leaves behind his mother E. Sonya Calvert, brother James Dixon, brother Devin and Ryan Caster, brother-in-law Michael F. Castro, grandchildren Macie, Jordyn, Ryland, Brooklyn, Damien, Aaron, Grace, Abby, Lincoln, Lilliana, Ella, Greysen, and Hayden; his close friends Jon Brown, Mike Fisher, Ruth and Keith Dant, Dave Reese, and Steve Hester.  Karl was proceeded in death by his father Terry Caster, his brother Douglas Caster and sister Ruth Caster.

Beyond the door, there's peace, I'm sure, And I know there'll be no more tears in Heaven.
