HORNE, Karen Kay, of Flint, age 56, died Monday, July 9, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.  Cremation will follow.  K.K. will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may visit 2-8 PM Friday.  She was born in Flint, April 30, 1962, the daughter of Jim and Ruth (Hollenback) Horne.  Karen was a loving mother, sister, aunt, spouse, and friend.  A 1980 graduate of Kearsley High School, she enjoyed gardening and camping.  She worked at Denny's Market for almost 20 years and will be missed by many.  Surviving are:  spouse, Paul Johnson;  father, Jim Horne; sister, Deanna (John) Kronmiller; brothers, Tim and Jim Horne; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  A special thanks to our cousin Jeanette.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jillian Kay Lafferty and her mother Ruth Anne Horne.
