Obituary

HOBSON ROTTMAN, Judy Ann, of Flint Township, formerly of Mt. Morris,  age 73, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Kith Haven.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow.  Friends may visit at the funeral home from Noon until the time of service Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made to a memorial fund.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Judy was born in Flint, November 2, 1949, the daughter of Russell L. and Ada May Hobson.  Judy graduated from Mount Morris High School..  She had been employed by General Motors until a work injury necessitated her early disability retirement.  .  She loved cooking, shopping, reading, and going to the casino with loved ones (she loved playing the slots).  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, which she affectionately referred to as "her babies," all seven of them.  Most importantly, she was a kind hearted woman who loved giving and doing for others.  Judy was loved by many and will be missed by many.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Jennifer Renee Hobson of Flint, and Amie Kay (Tom) Dinnan of Beecher; 2 sisters, Shelley Roach of Clio, and Tammy (Walt) Olsick of Mount Morris; brother, Jerry (Renee) Hobson; 7 grandchildren, Ambur Dinnan, R. J. Root Jr., Aaron B. Cook, Isaiah C. Cook, Collan Cook, and Jayden Cook, all of Flint;  3 great grandchildren, Amiah L. Dinnan, Phoenix A. Daly, and the baby Londyn Dior Cook; special friends, Karen Curtis and Roberta Smith.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Russell L. and Ada May Hobson, son Jarad L. Hobson, brothers, Russell Hobson Jr., and Robert Hobson, nephew Russell Hobson III, and best friends, Karen Karen Sturdy and Judy Springer.

The family wishes to thank our relatives and friends for your kind expressions of love, expressed through your prayers, kind words, and anything else you may have done to comfort our hearts at this time.  We ask for your continued prayers as we learn to live without her.  God bless each of you.
