JORDAN, Joy Louise, of Grand Blanc Township, formerly of Flint Township, age 90, died Friday, July 3, 2026 at home.  Her children say it best:

It is with profound sadness that we share that our mom, Joy Louise (Joy Lou) Jordan has passed away.   She is with her children, Rona, Jeff and Angela. As anyone who knew our mom knows, she did everything in her life her way. Including going into hospice instead of the hospital for treatment. She was a feisty one for certain!

Joy was born February 5, 1936. 90 years of living life on her terms. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was the keeper of secrets and always had a story to tell that would shock the listener.  She worked for AC Spark plug for 35 years and went on to work for Pinkerton Security, becoming a Sergeant. Her passion for antiques led her to open an antique store and have booths in many different places. She was an expert on antique glass and studied antique hallmarks for fun.  Her grandchildren think she was the coolest grandma around. Her idea to take them for ice cream for breakfast may have contributed to that judgement.  Her family and friends will miss her enthusiasm for living life.

Go rest high on that mountain, your work on earth is done. Embrace your children you have missed and rejoice with our Father, the savior.
