GRISSOM, Johnny Edward, of Burton, age 72, died Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center.  A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home.  Family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service, Sunday, October 20, 2019.  Johnny was born in Salisbury, North Carolina, July 2, 1947, the son of William and Ann (Steelman) Grissom.  He attended Flint Northern High School.  He loved to dance and loved music, especially Elvis Pressley.  Surviving are, 6 children, John Grissom, Ricky (Melissa) Grissom, Theresa (Bret) Bushaw, Keith (Malissa) Grissom, Kathy (Thomas) Grissom, and Sarah (William) Mellish; 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; 9 siblings, Bill (Judy), Eddy (Mary), Wanda (Catalino), Susan, Elaine (Jack), Dolly, Sherry (John), Julie, and Jeff; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his parents.
