DEAN, Joellene Adele., of Flint, age 82, died, Friday, April 5, 2019 at McLaren Flint.  Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Bishop Christopher Pangerl officiating.  Interment in Flint Memorial Park.  Mrs. Dean will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may call 10AM-8PM Wednesday.  Joellene was born in Bay City, Michigan, April 17, 1936, the daughter of Laurence and Beth (Phillips) Griffith.  She graduated from Bendle High School.  She married Kenneth LeRoy Dean, Jr. Sept 12,1953 in Flint.  She retired as a bus driver from Hamady School District.  She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Carman-Ainsworth Senior Center, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and The Lucky Eight A.P.A. pool league.  Surviving are 2 daughters, Dawn Riccio and Cindy Dean of Flint. 13 grandchildren: Chris, Bobby, Shawnee, Dan, Kyla, Marc, Amber, Heather, Missy, Tim, Elizabeth, Patrick, and Jeremiah. 15 great grandchildren,  2 great-great grandchildren, daughters-in-law Leona and Elaine, brother, Judd (Marlene) Gawne, several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband in 2011, and 2 sons, Laurence K.
