CUSIC, JoAnn (Booth), of Flint, age 72, died Friday, October 5, 2018 at her residence.  At her request, cremation has taken place.  Her family will receive friends at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy, Flint Township, 3:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2018.  Final interment will be at Birch Run Cemetery, next to her mother.  JoAnn was born in Flint, April 18, 1946, the daughter of Hazel Aileen Booth.  She grew up on Augusta Street in Flint Township and attended Utley elementary school.  She graduated Flint Community Schools in 1964.  JoAnn married John Peter (Jack) Cusic April 19, 1969 after a courtship of seven years.  They later divorced but remained in close contact until Jacks death in 2000.  JoAnn worked mostly in retail sales in the Flint area.  She spent the last 20 years of her working life at Pony Express Courier Corp. before leaving the work force on medical disability at age 50.  She enjoyed her home and loved to putter outside in the summer.  She liked to read and play games on her computer.  JoAnn was also a fighter of social injustices and liked to debate friends on many subjects.  JoAnn's beloved mother died August 25, 2002 and her spirit dimmed with the loss.  Life was never as bright for her after her mothers death.  She is survived by her much loved cousins:  The McCartneys, The Booths, and The Domanskis; also her long-time best friend and companion Kathleen R. Baker of Flint.
