PITTENGER, Janis Louise, of Swartz Creek, age 75, passed away peacefully February 4, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center, Flint, Michigan.  Cremation has taken place.

Janis was born January 2, 1950 at her home in Imlay City, Michigan to Bernard and Helen Pittenger.  Janis attended Imlay City Elementary school and graduated from Imlay City High School.  As a kid, she enjoyed riding her bike and playing outside with her friends.

Janis was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Helen Pittenger and her granddaughter Alissa Louise Sage.

She will be profoundly missed by her children, Howard Spitzer, Paul Spitzer, April Sage, and Tristian Foust; her sisters, Judy Campbell and Jane Duncan; her brother, Jack Pittenger; her grandchildren, Zachary Spitzer, Christian Sage, and Aubrey Spitzer; along with several nieces and nephews.  Her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.

A celebration of Janis's life will be held in the spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers or donations, we invite family to join us in honoring her memory by sharing their loving and cherished stories of our mother.
