NORRIS, James August, of Flint, age 63, died Monday, September 9, 2024 at Hurley Medical Center.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.  Family will receive friends at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township 11:00 A.M. until the time of services, Friday, September 20, 2024.

Mr. Norris was born in Flint, January 31, 1961, the son of James and Darlene (LaPenes) Norris.  He was a 1979 Graduate of Flint Northern High School, and spent over 30 years working in the trucking industry.  He married Dorothy Jean Elder August 21, 1987.  He loved hunting and fishing and time with his family.

Surviving are:  wife, Dorothy Jean Norris; sons, Michael Norris and Jimmy (and wife Sarah Sparks) Norris; grandson, Sylas Sparks; granddaughter, Salem Norris; sister, Kathy Norris; numerous cousins.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Raymond.
