MARCUM, James Cecil, of Burton, age 66, died Friday, February 13, 2026 at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Joshua Rupert officiating.  Burial will occur 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 23, 2026 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso.  Mr. Marcum will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where friends may visit 10:00 A.M. until the time of services Friday.

James was born in Flint, September 24, 1959, the son of Alfred and Elna (Newman) Marcum.  He grew up in Burton where he attended Bendle High School.

Surviving are: sisters, Violet Hunt and Marie Palmer; brother, Alfred Marcum; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jane Alice, niece, Tara Palmer, and brothers-in-law, Barry Hunt and Chuck Palmer.
