LARSON, James Michael, of Flint, age 58, died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center.  Funeral services  will be held 4:00 PM Thursday at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Mr. Joseph B. Zelley officiating.   Cremation will follow at Genesee Cremation Center.  Mr. Larson will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where family will receive friends 10:00 AM-4:00 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a family memorial fund c/o the funeral home.  Jim was born in Flint, Michigan,  September 5 1960.  After the death of his father, Donald, in 1976, he went to work at the Zelley Funeral Home and Ambulance Service where he worked until 1998.  Jim was later employed at the Dodds-Dumanois Co. Funeral Home, The Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Brown Funeral Home, John Kline Transport Service and by Tom Boaz at Preferred Removal Service.  He loved hockey.  Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Barbara Larson;  daughters, Dawn (Jacob) Middleton, of Florida and Ashley (bill) Dixon of Flint; grandchildren, Astara, D.J., Kaylee, and Mason;  brothers, Tim (Julie), John (Carmen), and Ron (Shelly);  several nieces and nephews.
