Duckworth, James Ivan  (Jamie), of Flushing, Michigan, age 49,  died Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at his residence.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial  services will be held 12:00 Noon, Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiatung.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

He was born on March 4, 1977, to parents David Duckworth of Flushing and Jeanette (Summers) Lake of Birch Run.  Jamie graduated from Flushing Schools.  He went on to become manager of a McDonalds and later be became an over the road truck driver.  During that time he experienced a serious roll over accident which left him permanently disabled.  Despite the pain he lived with, he was always a happy person. He loved cars and his monster Bronco.  Jamie's smile, tenderness and caring will be missed.

James  is survived by his father, David Duckworth; his mother, Jeanette (Summers) Lake (Rande); his sons, Gabriel Duckworth of Missouri, and  Quentin Duckworth of Owosso; brother, Eric Duckworth (Emily Stroub) of Flushing; sisters, Tara Duckworth of Flushing, and Kristin Goddard (Jason) of Flushing. He also leaves behind several nieces ,nephews and aunts and uncles.
