DEAN, James L.; Sr., of Kokomo,Indiana, formerly of Flint, age 75, died Thursday, April 25, 2019 in Kokomo.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, Rev. George Warson officiating.  A memorial luncheon will follow at West Flint Church of The Nazarene, 2254 South Dye Road, Flint.  Jim was born June 11, 1943 in Flint, the son of Kenneth and Vera (Henderson) Dean, Sr.  He served as a bulldozer operator in the U.S. Army from 1961-63.  He worked at City Auto Parts for many years.  For many years he was self-employed as James Dean & Sons Cement.  For the last 12 years he had worked at the Bingo Hall in Kokomo.  He always lived life the way he wanted.  Jim leaves behind his German Shepherd Dog Maggie; his sons James Dean, Jr. and his wife Gladys; Loyal Dean and his wife Theresa; daughter Tina Dean Pelland; stepson, Scott Rood and his wife Hope; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Joann Burnett and Naomi (George) Warson;  3 brothers, Keith Dean, Gary Dean, and David Dean; special friend, Janet from Kokomo.  He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, son Keith, grandson Rob Pelland, and by Patricia Dean, the mother of his 4 children.
