Bruce, James Millard, age 85, of Flint Michigan, passed away peacefully from this life April 8, 2023. James was born on August 9,1937 in Florence Alabama.

James worked for AC Spark Plug as an inside truck driver and retired after 45 years. He also earned his pilot's license and enjoyed flying single engine planes. He loved to travel on road trips and being in the driver's seat! James was a member of the Mid-South Chapter Hudson Club and he enjoyed driving his Hudson to car meets and in parades. He enjoyed the many friends he had in the car clubs and spoke of them fondly. He was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church in Alabama. He spent many Saturday mornings eating breakfast and talking with friends at Westside Diner. James was a kind and generous man with many special friends. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Surviving are his wife, Joy L. Jordan; brother, Reggie Paul Bruce; sons, Terry (Pam) Bruce and Jimmy M. Bruce; daughter, Angela J. (Joseph) Whitfill; step children, Mark Jordan, Rhonda (Glenn) Terryah, and Lisa Jordan; grandchildren, Rachel, Angela, Trisha and Moriah; great grandchildren, Riley, Genevieve and Vincent.

James was preceded in death by his parents, John Gilbert Bruce Sr., and Winnie Lee (Crider) Bruce, his brothers Harold, Gilbert Jr., and Freddy, sister Virginia and grandson Harley.
