BARNES, Heather Lee (Whitt), of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in Mt. Pleasant.  Funeral services will be held at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 11, 2019, Rev. Bradley Lake  officiating.  Burial in Bendle Cemetery, Clayton Township.  Heather will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of service Friday.  Heather was born in Flint, April 29, 1984.  Heather was a Mama Bear always looking after her cubs.  She would do what she could to help people any way she could.  Heather was a proud member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe and very proud of her Native American heritage.  Surviving are:  sons, Jaidyn and Lavontae; daughter, Asiianah; siblings, Judy (Tyler) Youmans, Gregory (Lisa) Miller, Rodney Miller, Lloyd Whitt, Joshua (Alicia) Whitt, and Victor (Jessica) Whitt; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; dear friend and former husband, Jeffrey Barnes.  Heather is preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Oller; father, Lloyd Whitt; brother, Nathan Whitt, and grandmother, Rose Davis Oller.
