CALVERT, Gwen Laurie (Himes), of Corunna, Michigan, passed away to heaven May 13, 2019 at the age of 84.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 17, 2019 at Berean Baptist Church, 6705 Rustic Ridge Trail, Grand Blanc.  Gwen will lie in state at the church where friends may visit 10AM until the time of service Friday.  A luncheon for friends and family will take place following the service.  Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery.  Gwen was born October 3, 1934 in Flint, the beloved daughter of the late Louila (Thomas) Himes..  She had a love for music, dancing, and her family.  She was the loving mother of Gail LaRue Henig (and her husband Dave Henig); loving grandmother to Luke, Logan, and Lincoln Henig; beloved sister of Sheila Himes and Louila Walters (and her late husband Kelly Walters); and loving aunt to many neices and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman Perry, Carmen Himes, Calvin Himes, Gary (and wife Betty) Himes, and Gordon Himes.
