Mr. Greenwood Lewis

Born June 25, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Lewis was named after his paternal uncle who was told he would never be able to father children.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Personal Saviour at an early age.  He was baptized and was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

After graduation fro Beecher High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force.  While serving, he met and married air woman Dora Ann Dunlap.

After his return to Michigan he met and married Janice Marie Dennis.  To this union was born a son, Terry Ryan Lewis, who already had a sister, Angela Marie Dennis.

He enjoyed helping out and spending time with family and friends. He was always willing to drop what he was doing to help family, friends, or acquaintances, or even people he did not know.  He would often say, "family comes first, if anyone needs anything let me know and I'll help if I can."

He was very mechanically enclined even as a youngster.  He was always taking apart radios, TV's, watches, engines, bikes, etc., which he would invariably put back together.  It seemed he had to know what made things operate which undoubtedly lead to his career as a licensed automobile mechanic.

Private services have taken place with burial at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.
