DEAN, Gary Lawrence, Sr., of Flint Township, age 79, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at his sons' home in Alpena, Michigan.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208mNorth Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, Rev. George Warson officiating.  Gary was born in Flint, September 8, 1944, the son of Kenneth and Vera (Henderson) Dean.  He enjoyed watching western movies, hunting, fishing, listening to music, and spending time with family.  Surviving to honor his memory are:  his children, Gary (Dawn) Dean, Brian (Mindy) Winters, Shanna (David) Eaton, Michalle Dean Smith, Randy (Harriet) Johnson, and John Stanke; siblings, David Dean, Keith Dean, and Naomi Warson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Vera Dean, Janet M. Johnson, Teresa Winters, son Samuel J. Dean, Sr., and siblings Kennrth Dean, Joann Burnett, Robert Dean, Nancy Holmes Dean, and James Dean.
