LUDINGTON, Evelyn Blanche, R.N., of Burton, age 89, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Allen West officiating.  Cremation will follow.  Mrs. Ludington will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may call 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday.  Evelyn was born in Jamestown, New York, March 25, 1935, the daughter of Bruce L. and Lulu Belle (Main) Wright.  She graduated Dye High School in 1952.  She attended nursing school at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, and worked first at Hurley Hospital and then at nursing homes, including 25 years at Kith Haven.  She worked in Hospice and Home Health Care until she reached age 79.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Leeanne Clark Cook, and Michele Clark Gonzalez; 22 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; sister, Fay Hogan.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James Leroy Clark, husband George Ludington, daughter Lori Lulu Clark, sons James Leroy Clark II, Lonnie Bruce Clark, Michael Roy Clark, and Samuel Andrew Clark, and brother Ivan Wright.
