Elmer Eugene Drury, age 78, went to be with his Lord and savior on Friday November 11, 2022 peacefully at his home in Flint, Michigan. He lived in Flint his entire life. Elmer was born to Elmer and Laura (Wellington) Drury in Flint, Michigan on March 12, 1944.  He Honorably served his country in the United States Army. Elmer was a member of UAW Local 659 retiring from Flint Metal Center.  Mr. Drury enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, motorcycles, watching old westerns, and listening to blue grass music.  Elmer also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin (Michelle) Drury of Swartz Creek, Michigan; grandchildren, Taylor, Walker, Sydney and Carson; sister Jessie (Paul) Couture of St. Helen and Margaret (Bob) Studer of Flint; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Laura Drury and his brother Douglas Drury.

Following Elmer's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Riverdale Baptist Church, 5151 Calkins Road, Flint Township.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Final interment will be at Greenwood cemetery in Marion, Michigan next to his grandfather, Richard Drury.
