PACHECO, Elijio, "Poncho" of Genesee Township, age 92, died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, July27, 2017, at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Angel Garcia officiating. Mr. Pacheco will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may visit 5-8 PM Wednesday and from 10AM until the time of services Thursday. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Pacheco was born in Leal Texas, December 1, 1924. He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He spent his working life as a block mason. Mr Pacheco enjoyed fishing. Surviving are: 3 children, Elijio Pacheco, Jr., Sara Pacheco, and Elizabeth Groves; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Jeronimo Pacheco. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association
