WEAVER, David, of Swartz Creek, age 89, died Friday, March 5, 2021 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services and final interment will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Pastor Tim Pike officiating. David was born November 28, 1931 in Tatumville, Tennessee, the son of Joe and Delia (Rodgers) Weaver. He served four years in the United States Navy, aboard hospital ship USS Haven, during the Korean War, after which he returned to his employment at General Motors. He married Jean Joann Pupard in 1955. He retired from GM Flint Truck Assembly where he worked as a Plant Protection Officer. David loved nature and just sitting in the woods. He also loved fishing at Drummond Island. Surviving are: his daughter, Kathleen Jo Weaver Hollenback; sisters-in-law, Aura Weaver, and Diana (Bill) Kwarcianu; brother-in-law, Richard (Dianna) Pupard; nieces and nephews, Jan Weaver, Delores Lynn, Evelyn Lacca, Becky Houle, Leslie Weaver, Phil Lacca, and Ed Adiska. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean Joann Weaver, his son Jeffrey Ralph Weaver, his parents Joe and Delia Weaver, his nephew Bob Weaver; Cordia and Bill Foster; and son-in-law Rusty Alois Hollenback.
