URCH, David Newton, of Davison, Michigan, age 82, passed away Thursday, November 02, 2023 at his residence. Cremation will take place and a celebration of Dave's life will be announced later.   Dave was born in Flint, Michigan, April 24, 1941, son of the late Carl and Jean (Burch) Urch.  Dave was employed at Buick City for nearly 50 years as a machine repairman and earned the reputation of being the "fix-it man" given his knack for understanding working mechanics and operational processes across many industrial facets. Upon retiring, Dave continued with his passion for being the "solution guy" for any neighbor, friend, family member, or acquaintance by happily accepting challenges of repairing anything from a broken bicycle to a 40-year-old tractor for anyone in need.

Dave married his loving wife, Geneva, on September 24, 1983. They spent 40 happy years enjoying the simple pleasures of life, social gatherings, and supporting each other in their countryside home as they aged together. When not tinkering on a home improvement or repair project Dave loved to enjoy a cold beer, good meal, conversation, and laughs with all who loved him.

Dave is survived by his wife, Geneva, daughters Rebecca (Bob) Abbitt and Jennifer (Bart) Daig, son Matthew (Mary) Urch, stepdaughter Vickie (Al) Rogers and stepson Ted (Cindy) Campbell, grandchildren Shannon Urch, Randy (Kristin) Dallaire, step-grandchildren Ryan York, Christopher Campbell, Meghan Campbell, Danielle (Brian) Wenzel, and Cody (Erika) Campbell. Dave is also survived by many extended and loving family members and special friends.

Dave's big smile and zest for enjoying life will be greatly missed.
