Obituary

PAGE, Clarence J. "Jerry," DoDa," age 70, of Burton, formerly of Prudenville, died April 17, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev. David Rahn officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. A luncheon will be held at 4:00 PM at VFW Post #2777, 2260 S. Belsay Road. Mr. Page will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may call 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a family memorial fund. Jerry was born February 13, 1945 to Clarence Ellis and Joy Alverda (Young) Page of Gladwin, Michigan. He served in the US Army Medical Corps in Germany from 1963-1966, working in the Medical Evac unit. He worked at AC Spark Plug for many years and at Ed Hook's Cycle in Burton. He loved his cycles and he loved working on them. He moved to the Houghton Lake area where he was involved with several businesses until 2014 when he became ill. He had a passion for restoring old cars and had won many trophies with them. He was a longtime member of BC's Sportsman Club. Surviving are: 2 sons, Bryan Page and wife Valarie of Burton and Jonathan Page and wife Tammy of Springhill, Florida; granddaughters, Kayla, Brittany, Riley, Jena, and Katlin, ; sister, Linda Webb; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Ellis Page, mother Joy Alverda (Young) Page, sisters Ruth Page Misner, Katleen Bukosky, and Paige Curran; nephew Mark Misner,
