WHEELER, Charles Edward, of Genesee Township, age 89, departed this life Sunday, September 12, 2021 at home.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev. Bruce Badder officiating.  Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery.  Mr. Wheeler will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where friends may visit 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P. M. Friday.  Charles was born in Herndon, West Virginia, June 30, 1932.  He married Dorothy Slusher of Bell County, Kentucky June 1, 1956.  Mr. Wheeler worked for many years in the asphalt business.  Surviving are:  son, Charles Wheeler, Jr. and wife Barbra; daughter, Michelle Yvonne Wheeler Hendricks and husband Carl of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; sons Orlan Dylan, Johnny Lee, and Mark Wayne; and daughter Darlene Kay.
