COLE, Charles Wesley, of Grand Blanc, age 94, died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Bella Vita, Grand Blanc. Burial has taken place at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Charles was the youngest of eight children. He has one sister, and six brothers. He was a pilot and a member of EAA Chapter #77. He flew powered parachutes and airplanes. He also enjoyed flying radio controlled model airplanes. Charles was also a member of the Forest Flyers, previously known as the Davison Hilltoppers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Ham Radio operator with the call sign WB8POF. He was a member of ARRL. Charles retired from General Motors as an electrician after 31 years service. He was an active member of the Burton Senior Center where he enjoyed playing euchre twice a week. He could beat you in cribbage any day of the week. He liked to make people laugh by telling silly jokes!! He could say the alphabet backwards, can you? Surviving are children, Daryl W. (Patti) Cole of Port Richie, Florida, Donald G. Cole of New Port Richie, Florida, and Douglas R. (Dawn) Cole of Grand Banc. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Ellen Freeze, and daughter, Norma Jean Clase.
