Cathy Ann Brooke-Burt (Minzey), age 71, passed away on November 9, 2024 in Flint, MI. Born on February 19, 1953, Cathy was known to so many for her big smile, giving nature, and love for her family, friends, and church. She had a generous spirit and was passionate about helping others. Born and raised in Flint, MI., Cathy had dedicated her life to serving and caring for her family, and enjoying time with so many of her friends. She had a passion for music and was a Karaoke DJ for many years at Timothy's Pub where she was affectionately known as "Brooke" to her many friends there.

Cathy is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel since 1992. She also leaves behind her children Marc (Colleen), Candice, and Jenny (Matt); grandchildren Emmalee (Mikel), Makenzie, Alivia, Benjamin, Avonlea, Charlotte, and Madeline; along with great-grandchildren Myla, Emmitt, and Macy; and sister Debby (Mike) Blom. She was preceded in death by her parents Gary and Charlotte Minzey; mother-in-law Eleanor; brother and sister-in-law Gary and Pearl Minzey; and brother Johnny Minzey.

Cathy had a real zest for life and found a friend in everyone; to know her was to love her.

A memorial service will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM on November 23, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Family Life Center at 1227 E. Bristol Rd. Burton, MI. 48529. Pastor Kevin Galloway II officiating. In lieu of flowers, you may offer donations to the family's GoFundMe which will help with costs for her Memorial Service.
