MADDOX, Britton Frederick, of Flushing, age 57, passed into eternal life Friday, October 23, 2015, as the result of a tragic accident. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday at South Flint Tabernacle, G-3450 South Saginaw, Burton, Pastor Robert Henson officiating. Cremation will follow. Mr. Maddox will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may call 12-2 and 4-8 PM Wednesday. Britt was born in Flint, October 1, 1958. He graduated from Kearsley High School in 1976 and was employed by General Motors for over 39 years. He was an active member, and pillar of the church of South Flint Tabernacle where he served as corporate secretary, and as a member of several boards at the church. He loved to pray, loved reading, and loved family vacations. He also loved bowling, singing, and he knew how to strike a few keys. Surviving are: his wife of 25 years, Lisa Maddox; children, Stephanie, Ryan, Kyle (Cara), Baby Girl Danielle, and Roxy; grandchildren, Katlynn, Kathleen, Lea, and Makenzie who is on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Millicent Maddox, by his grandparents, and by his brothers. Special heartfelt thanks to Hurley Medical Center Emergency Room staff, the Flint Township Police Department, the South Flint Tabernacle family, his friends at GM Flint Metal Fab, and all his many friends for their support and love.
