PECKNYO, Basil, of Flint, age 96, died Thursday, April 13, 2023.  Mr. Pecknyo will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where visitation will be held 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2023.  Private interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.  Mr. Pecknyo was well known as a professional photographer and operator of Van Dyke Studio.  Surviving are:  children, Sherie Ward, Colleen and husband Mike Parker, Ronald Pecknyo, and Kim and husband Kevin McClure; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Basil is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Margaret Pecknyo,  and his daughter Dawn Firth.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
