ZEROD, Allen Michael, of Mount Morris, age 71, died Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.  Allen was born in Flint, August 13, 1952, the son of Joseph and Elaine (Coutcher) Zerod.  He was an accomplished Master Mechanic spending 40 years at United Carburetor Service and then continuing to work on his friends' old cars until his health no longer permitted.  He was very well known un the old-car and vintage tractor hobbies as "the best there was."

Surviving are:   his wife of 42 years, Jo Anne Zerod; sons, Allen Zerod, Jr., Joel Zerod, and Mike Dotson; daughter, Cari (Brian) Curtis; grandchildren, Hayley Parker, Chelsi Zerod, Cody Curtis, and McKenzie Curtis; great grandchildren, Zoey Parker and Ava Zerod.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Joseph Zerod, Jr.
